Class 13 – Final assessment arrangement (2019A)

Originally, each group will have 15 to 20 minutes for presentation and demonstration. However, since we have cancelled all face-to-face sessions, you are advised to video record your presentation and demonstration as a submission.

A summary of assignment submission here.

The first one would be your individual reflection report, would be a summary of your in-class activities, your roles and contributions in the game design project and a reflection on what you have learnt in the course, submitted via Moodle.

The second one would be the video recording of the paper prototype your group finished and play-tested, the updated game proposal with founding from the play-test and another video recording of a presentation of the project by each member (~2 – 3 min.) in the group, presenting different parts.

Here are references for updated project proposal and video

While I have learnt that some of the group may have difficulty to meet face-to-face and work together on the group project at the moment. Therefore, you may choose to submit an individual assessment as compliment toward the group project, if all members in the group agree.

For the alternative individual assessment, you would be required to create a sketch of the game (without completing the final paper prototype and play-test) and make a video recording (~5 min.) to present and critique the game design base on your own draft, on your own.

You can develop the sketch based on the interface design you have done in class. The sketch need to illustrate clearly the game flow and interaction.

A few reference of sketch below,

For the group which would prefer to do individual assessment, please have one of your member in the group to send me a notification and cc to all members in your group as record.

All assignments would be due and submitted via Moodle by 21 Dec 2019
